Ingredients:
1 small cauliflower, cut into florets
1 red onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 small green chilli, chopped
1/4 red bell pepper, chopped
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne papper
1/4 teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
salt
1 egg
50g grated cheddar cheese
1/2 breadcrumbs
oil to panfry
Boil the cauliflower florets in salted water until soft, drain and cool.
Transfer the boiled cauliflower to a bowl and mash coarsely.
Add all the ingredients except the oil to the cauliflower and mix together to form a dough like texture.
Shape into 3/4 inch thick flat cakes.
Pan fry the cauliflower cakes in a little oil till golden and crisp.
Serve with creme fraiche garnished with cracked black pepper and chopped spring onion.
