Simple Paleo Breakfast Recipe

This paleo breakfast may sound a little strange at first. Starting your day off with a warm cup of bone broth is an excellent way to wake up your digestive system. This breakfast soup is very similar to a classic egg drop soup, but with everyone’s favorite ingredient… BACON! Sending nourishing, restorative foods into your body first thing will do so much to support gut health and boost immunity. If you pre-cook your bacon in the oven, you can have this breakfast ready in less than 5 minutes!

Ingredients-
1 cup of bone broth
1 egg, beaten
1 tbsp (15 g) cooked bacon crumbles, or slices
1 tsp (5 g) thinly sliced green onions
Salt and pepper, to taste
Hot sauce (optional)

Directions-
1 .Heat bone broth over medium heat until it starts to bubble but does not come to a boil.
2. Turn the heat off and swirl the broth to create a whirlpool. Now slowly pour in the beaten eggs while continuing to swirl. The egg will cook in the hot broth and appear almost noodle like.
3. Pour the soup into a bowl and top with bacon and green onions. Now simply salt and pepper to taste. If you’re feeling wild, add a couple splashes of hot sauce!
